TOP 10 WAYS YOU KNOW YOU'RE AT A HENRICHSEN FAMILY REUNION
(warning: those who are easily offended may not want to read this -- it's good humor and not criticism that is intended)

Number 10:
You know you're at a Henrichsen reunion when you say "How ya doing?" and you really mean "I know I should know, but who the heck are you?"
Number 9:
You know you're at a Henrichsen reunion when you've been asked at least 5 times within the last 24 hours, "Who's your Daddy?"
Number 8:
You know you're at a Henrichsen reunion when everyone complains about the food, but couldn't eat another bite.
Number 7:
You know you're at a Henrichsen reunion when we all smell of horse poop, are covered in dust and happy about it.
Number 6:
You know you're at a Henrichsen reunion when your jokes are corrected for accuracy.
Number 5:
You know you're at a Henrichsen reunion when everyone changes their clothes at least 3 times a day.
Number 4:
You know you're at a Henrichsen reunion when you could swear you are in a gallery honoring the reunion t-shirts of years past.
Number 3:
You know you're at a Henrichsen reunion when a smiley face could be considered a form fine art.
Number 2:
You know you're at a Henrichsen reunion when any snack food you bring quickly becomes community property.
...and the...
Number 1 way you know you're at a Henrichsen reunion is when everyone's farts smell the same as your own.
All of these memories are because two people fell in love........
......looking forward to these and more memories in 2010 :)

Hi all, I know I have been terrible about posting on the blog. I thought I would share something we submitted a couple of months ago to the Harward family newsletter:

—Who better to tell you all about our family, than us, "Fayth"
—And me, "Daisy." I'll let sister start.—Hi, everyone. It’s me, "Fayth," I am 17 months old. As the first born, it is my right to start first. I love my sister and I try to say her name as often as I can. Maybe, it is because I hear mommy call her name so much throughout the day. I try to hug her, but she tries to pretend that she is not interested, but I know she loves me. We laugh and laugh and laugh in our quiet moments together. I am enjoying talking and can really talk mommy and daddy's ears off. I think I even did to Nana the other day. I love the telephone, I can even pretend to text. I have to say, that I am currently a "daddy’s" girl. He is so cuddable. I enjoy sitting a reading a good book. Ok, I can't read, but I sure could fool a few of you. I love that mommy takes the time to slide us around the house, whether its on a blanket or just on our knees. Mommy and daddy make us laugh everyday. It must be healthy, because it sure makes us feel good. I love to clean too! Give me a wet paper towel or a baby wipe and I get to it. First, I always have to clean my tongue. It’s just good, not to have a "dirty mouth." Daisy and I enjoy helping mommy in the kitchen. Yeah, we're probably in the way most of the time, but I think she appreciates the help. —Ok, Ok, Fayth, give me a turn.—Hi out there. It’s the cute one, me, "Daisy". I am also 17 months old. You're a smart one if you figured out that we are twins. As the tallest, by a whole 1/2 inch, I have the ability to climb.
—Daisy! I climb too!
—Oh yeah, Fayth can too. Let me clear up the mommy calling my name all day. I am very adventurous and try to get into anything I can. Mommy will attest that I do listen most of the time when she calls my name. As for my sister, she pretends that mommy is not talking to her.
—Daisy! Daisy!!
—Fayth likes to think she’s the boss of me. I prefer to communicate using the signs mommy has taught us. We both enjoy watching "Signing Time". I'm just not quite ready to talk. I did say "Nana" the other day while talking to grandma in Utah. Everyone was pretty impressed. Mommy and I share a freckle on our feet. I can even point to it if you ask. I love to play in the dirt and throw it up in the air and wonder how does it come down on my head. So I do it again and again. Yeah, it gets mommy excited too. That's usually when I hear my name a lot.Fayth and I enjoy being outside, painting, kicking our soccer balls, and our special bath time with daddy. I’m a very good mommy to my dolls. I always take them for walks in the stroller and tuck them into bed with a kiss goodnight.
—Daisy! Daisy!! I’ll finish. Mommy is working in the hospital as a registered nurse. She misses us lots when she’s at work, but she says she enjoys taking care of others and seeing her co-workers. She likes to tell people that she is a stay-at-home mom that works all night. She really takes good care of us and makes sure we know how much she loves us. She has really been trying to help us fold our arms for prayers and reads the scriptures to us. Mommy teaches the sunbeams at church and we get to go to Nursery next month! Being a mom has been an adjustment for her, but she is doing it. Sometimes she is too hard on herself. We love her so much.Daddy continues to teach Spanish and is the foreign language department chair at the local high school. He is the funniest daddy. He gets all over the floor with us. It reminds mommy of how her daddy used to be and she enjoys seeing it. He has named all our bath time toys, down to the sponge "sudsy". He doesn't mind the splashing. He is so patient with us.What a team. Well, that's about it. Until next time. I'm sure we will have more to share.

WHAT A TREAT!!
On Friday night we took the girls to Mickey's Halloween Treat at Disneyland. They open California Adventure in the evening for the event and have "doors" throughout the park where they pass out candy. The whole park is decked out for Halloween. Fayth and Daisy were dressed up as bees and Nadine and I dressed up a beekeepers. You would not believe the reaction we got from all the people at the park. We felt like rock stars. People would stop us constantly and say how much they loved our costumes and even ask if they could take our pictures. We even saw people taking our pictures without asking. As the night went on more and more people pointed at us or stopped us and some even said that they had heard of us from others in the park. We were barraged by comments like "That's the best costume," "You win," "Cute," and the like. Even many of the workers told us that our costumes were the best they had seen.
What do you think? Do we win the best costume?
AN END TO THE SILENCE

I know, I know. Don't die from shock, but I am actually blogging. I have been chastised by many people, and I know that many are wanting to see pictures of the babies. I can't blame them they are very cute. It is amazing that they are almost a year old already. So much has happened since I last blogged that I don' think I would ever catch up if I tried. So I will just start from where we are right now. Both Fayth and Daisy are both walking now and Daisy is practically running. They are both have such fun personalities. Daisy is very determined and loves all kind of foolishness. I love to make her laugh and giggle. Fayth is all girl. She loves to pose for photos and smiles on cue. She is drawn to any jewelry.

You would think that I would have been able to make time to blog during the summer -- all I can say I'm sorry not to have share with you yet. I will share little bits at a time to try to catch you all up to speed. During the summer we took a trip to Jamaica. The girls are great travelers. That is fortunate because Mommy and Daddy love to travel. Here is our favorite picture of them from Jamaica.

Nadine calls this picture, "Better than any sunset".

They were discovering the sand in this picture. Fayth really loves the water, but is frightened by the waves. Daisy likes to be in the floatie by herself in the water and splash. Here's another picture so you can see their faces. This one was taken at Half Moon, the hotel we stayed at.

Too cute!!!

Playmates for the girls!!

We just found out that our neighbor across the street is pregnant with twins!! She's due in October so they will be in the same grade as our twins. They will also be their first children. I am so excited for them. We're looking forward to play dates and other parent type stuff that I have heard that parents do with other parents and their children.

These are some random pics of our twins that I love:

4 months

-to my babies
I cannot believe that you both are 4 months old today. It seems like you were born just yesterday. You were both so tiny and perfect. I hold your hands now and think how big they are. I am so happy to be able to finally hold you in my own hands - my faith and joy made flesh.

My "little" Daisy, you are the biggest now with all your 12 pounds 6 ounces, although your sister is 24 inches tall just like you. I love to hear your cute giggle. You make my whole body smile with your laugh. It's so fun to see you stand up tall when I tell you to show me how big you are. I love you, Daisy.

Fayth, you look bigger than your sister, but you only tip the scales at 12 pounds 1 ounce. Maybe it is that way because even with a little faith big things can be accomplished. I love to see you smile, and my soul smiles with you. You love to look at your hands and hold them. I love to look at and hold them too. Our chats are precious to me. I love you, Fayth.

Thanks for coming and making me your Daddy.

Blessed twins

On Sunday, February 18th, we blessed the twins. It was a great experience. Both were awake and calm during the blessings. I was very nervous, but the blessing were very sweet. I kept my eyes open during both blessings and both of the girls listened to me and watched me intently as I blessed them. It brings me to tears whenever I think about it. I felt a very strong connection to them during those moments. I know it will always be one of my most treasured memories.

Fayth (left) & Daisy (right)

Mom & Dad, Kevin & Melia, Scott & Rebecca (and kids), and Chad all came down for the blessing. I was so glad they were able to be there for my babies' special day. Dallas & Craig also came from LA for the blessing. The Friday before we all (except Chad) spend the day at Disneyland. We had a great time and the girls did very well. We also took advantage of double stroller passes with our stroller and Rebecca's.

Nadine found a new favorite game for our PS2. A little over a year ago Nadine bought a PS2 in order to play Dance Revolution. She bought the heavy duty arcade style dance pad. Well Scott brought Guitar Hero 1 & 2 with their 2 guitars for the PS2 and now Nadine wants to get it. I must admit I enjoyed playing the games too.

After the blessing we had a barbecue at our home for friends and family that had come to witness the blessing (I know that that may seem weird for those of you dealing with snow during this time of year, but we do live in southern California).

It was a lot of fun although a little stressful. We were a little concerned that we might run out of food, but we didn't. I was most pleased that all the little girls loved playing in the nursery with some of the toys and thing that we have collect for our girls as they grow up - especially the toy tea set. It confirmed for me that we are getting things that girls love to play with.
