Tomorrow Fayth and Daisy will be 5 weeks old. I'm very tired. Things just keep piling up everywhere. I still haven't caught up on my work at work from 5 weeks ago when the girls were born. My students have been very understanding about the whole thing. I can't wait for winter break so that maybe I can catch up on a few things -- I know, I know, that is most likely wishful thinking. Mom and Dad will be here during Christmas. I hope they are excited to see the girls. I know that they will love them. I also hope that their presence during the winter break will allow me to catch up on even more stuff -- I'm planning on putting them to work. I know that many of you are wanting to see pictures of our blessed girls, but one of the things that I want to catch up on is downloading the pictures to my computer. Although we have not have any testing done to determine if the girls are identical or fraternal like Shana, I'm sure they're fraternal for the following reasons:
- They look different but like sisters -- I have no problem telling who is who.
- They were in different sacks and they had separate placentas.
- We transfer 2 vital embryos into the uterus.
Nadine keeps saying that she feels like they are not twins rather 2 girls that happen to have been born on the same day. I love them both and I can already see their separate personalities. I promise I will post pictures soon.
An update on Kevin. Last Wednesday the doctors removed Kevin's kidney (I forgot to ask which side). The tumor was about 8cm in size, and there was no evidence that the cancer had spread. They said the tumor was the least aggressive type of cancer -- I don't know the technical term sorry -- and they don't believe it is hereditary. Thank you for your prayers (Kevin says thanks too). Please continue to keep Kevin and Melia in your prayers during his recovery.
